Shallots

Saw this shallot at local farm stand and had to paint it! One is on hot pressed paper, one on cold pressed. Both 5x3 inches.

Mom's Silver Sugar Bowl

All but one are painted on hot pressed paper. It took awhile to learn how to work with the paint on this paper, but now I am loving it! 3x5 inches!

Brooklyn Vase and Grapes

I've had this vase since I visited The Brooklyn Museum about twenty years ago. Used it in so many still lives!

Wet in Wet

I've painted this set-up before. This time it's all wet in wet and with a double primary palette.

Floral Composition

Practicing flowers. I have a friend who is a musician. Every day she practices! What an inspiration!

Sunflowers and Lemon

I did a video for the ibook of this set-up. I had these from a previous session which I might include also. It was the first painting that I've done in months; too busy doing illustrations. I only hope I'm not too exhausted to get back to painting after the book is done. Ah well, not to worry it's all part of the process.

Book Cover

This is the "working" image for my ebook cover.  I'm not brave enough to include the title, maybe in a couple of months/weeks? Just started the third chapter yesterday! Whahoo! It's A LOT of work!  Not that I'm complaining. I'm learning a lot and having fun. Last book I worked with a great editor at North Light but this time I'm solo. I miss Erin's input! The book has slide shows and video!! Fun stuff! Books have changed drastically and now can be so much more instructional. Will try and post more often.
