Brooklyn Museum

When I was living in the city, I visited the Brooklyn Museum once in awhile- especially in the spring cause it's right next to The Brooklyn Botanical Gardens- not to say that they don't have exhibits worthy of the trip by itself! Anyway, bought this vase in their gift shop and really love painting it.

Brooklyn Museum

I believe I have posted this image before. I've decided to tone down a few of the pastels that I did recently. Letting some time go by and then looking at a painting with fresh eyes is always a good idea. (Of course as long as one doesn't go too far in the opposite direction!)

This is also a good time for me not to be doing a full painting because I'm pooped from taking care of my hubby! He was sick for a few weeks and now thankfully is better. Guess we're both still recovering.
I got this vase at The Brooklyn Museum quite a few years ago and find it to be perfect size for my set ups.
